It's a pretty good day lotion with sunscreen. It's creamy but very fast-absorbing. It moisturizes well without leaving your face greasy afterwards. It has a normal Dove soapy scent to it. My only complaint would be the bottle. It's a twist-the-lid-and-squeeze type of bottle, and makes it difficult to get the last bit of the product out.

My mom bought this for me, Dove Face Care Essential Nutrients Protective Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15, which is the same product but different name because it's imported from overseas. This is the only product that provides moisture and makes my skin soft and beautiful, without making it greasy (I have combination skin). It absorbs really well. The only complaint I have is the packaging. Kind of hard to open the cap. However, since we won't be able to buy this much longer, I am overjoyed I got my hands on another bottle.

I absolutely LOVED this product and am seriously devastated that it is gone! I hope to god that it comes back...and soon! But in the mean time I have been experimenting with some new face lotions and supprisingly I found Walmart's Equate Oil Free Moisturizer to be quite nice, my face is clearing up, not greasy, and has a nice light feel to it. It's not as good as Dove but it's the best thing I have found to it...and the best part is that it's cheap!

I love this facial moisturizer. I have only skin, but this actually leaves me less oily than products designed for oily skin. SPF is definitely a great benefit as well. I had to go online to find this. I hope they don't stop making it.

I hate to be bearer of bad news, but I couldn't find this in the store any more, so I eventually emailed Unilever (Dove's parent company), and they let me know that they did discontinue it. They were nice about it...even mailed me coupons, but it's gone. I switched to the Target brand, sensitive skin with SPF 15, and I didn't love it. The area beneath my eyes dried out and started getting flaky. And my skin felt tight sometimes. Then I tried an Oil of Olay with SPF 30, and I broke out like crazy. That usually doesn't happen, so I'm pretty sure it was the moisturizer. I'm using the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 now, but I still have the dry patches under my eyes. I miss the Dove lotion so much! It was inexpensive and always left my skin feeling great. If anyone has found anything comparable, please let me know.

Discontinued? I bought my first bottle today at Wal-Mart!
Lately, my face has been uncharacteristically dry and have done some research on here for a cheap, effective moisturizer that won't clog my pores. I saw that this one had a lot of reviews and a lot of people saying that yes, they'd buy again. Now I'm reading the reviews to find out it's discontinued? I hope I don't get too attached to it, then. So far, it's working well on my problem areas (around my nostrils, mouth & chin).
    Uh oh....
EDIT: For those of you wondering, I live near Toronto, Canada. I saw this stuff in Shoppers Drug Mart as well. Not all Wal-Marts near me have it, but a newer one did. continued >>

I've been using this product since I was about 15 yrs. old and I've used this product now for over 9 yrs. It's an amazing product for the price. You won't find too many products like it around that price and if you do it won't be as great. It does wonders on my skin (combination) since some days it goes from being dry in certain areas to normal or even oily =\ although it does leave you teary eyed, I personally have no problem with it seeing as facial products would do that to you regardless (just rinse out your eye with luke warm water) but I'm sure it is the SPF thats causing it. This product also lasts you a long time, I would usually get a few months out of every bottle but I also used it every morning as a part of my daily routine before applying makeup.

I've searched far and wide and I told myself it can't be discontinued, but after going to several stores and seeing the majority of the facial products that Dove makes not even on the shelves it had to be true. Just like the rest of you, I hope this is temporary but it has been off the shelves for a few months now. I usually buy a new bottle before it completely runs out, but it took me over a month to find a replacement for this wonderful product.

I switched to Targets generic/off brand dual-treatment moisturizer (although the downfall is that it doesn't have any SPF). I will be posting a review on this product as well.

I have used it for a month now, and I think it's time for me to write a review. Honestly, I don't like the scent of it, and it didn't moisturizing enough at first, so I didn't like it. But I change my routine a little bit, and add Dove senstive day cream before it. Then I like it now. it doesn't break me out. You have to know that my skin is really easily to be broke out. Moreover, after the whole day, I don't feel my skin oily. It never happen before, no matter what kind of cream or lotion with SPF I used before, all made my face super oil. This is a great product for me now.

This is the only face moisturizer with sunscreen I have found that doesn't irritate my skin in any way. My skin is moisturized, smooth, not greasy, soothed, and comfortable. And it's been discontinued :'-(

I saw on the site that all of the skin care line has been discontinued and they aren't bringing it back. This sucks because Dove works for my skin. I hope when the economy gets better they can bring it back. Maybe if they stopped changing their hair care every few months, they could have afforded to keep the awesome skin care around. *sigh*

I love this moisturizer! I have combination skin and this is the only moisturizer with SPF that doesn't make my face look like an oil slick. Sunscreens just don't seem to agree with my face and I always start breaking out. Luckily I found this moisturizer and its just perfect for my skin. It hydrates it and has the added SPF to protect my face, but leaves my skin looking soft and fresh. It actually leaves my skin more matte than almost any other moisturizer yet it never feels tight. It has a subtle scent which does not bother me at all. When I purchased this, I thought the bottle was a pump but it's actually a squeeze bottle. This makes it really handy to travel with so I always have it in my bag. Best of all its super cheap! I will buy this product over and over again :D
Apparently this product was discontinued in the US a while ago and I can't understand for the life of me why. It's such a great moisturizer. Luckily, it's still widely available here in Canada. I actually just bought a new bottle the other day and I had no problems finding it, they had tons on the shelves. But now I'm starting to think I should probably stock up just in case! Please oh please don't discontinue this product here too!!

    I. AM. DYING.
why would they take this off the market?
this was the only moisturizer to ever work on my skin.
not too greasy, not too dry.
    it moisturized me perfectly.
made my skin and my makeup look flawless.
not to mention SPF that protected me from the sun.
and a scent that i loved.
i seriously want to go to my dermatologist, take her the last drop of the last travel sized bottle i have left (when this product started to disappear, i stocked up.) and have her recreate it. I will pay just about anything.
My face actually hurts. That's how dry my skin is.
This wonderful product got me through the driest and coldest winter I've seen in quite some time.
And now with summer coming, I could really use the awesome SPF.
    WHY?!?!
Let's start a riot at the Dove company!!
    Bring back our favorite product.
    ...please?

I have tears in my eyes...I had to come on here for confirmation when I couldn't find it stocked at Target anymore. D: This was the best product ever and I am only praying Dove just took it off the market to revamp the packaging or something D: waaaaaa!
EDIT: FYI I just started using Eucerin Q10 SPF15 Moisturizer. It is a nice replacement for this beloved discontinued moisturizer.

OMG, I don't think I could have said it any better than JP (Jan 31, reviewer). The review you wrote was dead on. I have tried many moisturizers in my day and none have been as satifying as this one. It didn't leave my skin oily or shiny, nor did it clog my pores. I will really miss this product and have also contacted Lever Company to confirm that it had been discontinued. I immediately went looking for it at my local (Saint Louis area) Big Lots in hope of stock piling it, so far not much luck. I am deeply sadden and sorely discouraged, because have never had as much satisfaction from just one moisturizer. Sincerly, All Dried Out!

its good if your skin is dry, which mine was from a benzoyl peroxide cleanser. however, after a couple hours, i got pretty shiny. overall though, i don't think it made me break out.

Well, I've selected "Yes, I would buy this product again," but I can't because it has sadly been discontinued. WEAK!
I have confirmation from Dove, as I emailed them when the product started mysteriously disappearing from stores all around Chicagoland. I have searched high and low (from Big Lots to Ulta) and have not been successful in locating a single extra bottle.
I guess that makes this review pointless, so I'll make it more of a tribute: Dove Deep Moisture Facial Lotion, I loved you so. Gentle and smooth, you kept my skin protected with SPF and looking pretty. Why did you have to leave? You will be missed, and difficult to replace.

LOVE it. Gave it a four just because i use it year round and during the colder months it would be even better if it was just a little thicker. I always find myself coming back to this but be warned- it CAN be hard to find. Ive only had luck with target and even then i buy two at a time cause Ive run into not finding it again for months. Walgreens cvs rite aid and walmart are almost ALWAYS out of it. The smell is so fresh and clean- unlike Olay. GAG!!

This was my first moisturizer and I've been using it for a few days now. I'm really glad that I bought it over the Olay moisturizer because it has a light scent and is not greasy at all. It makes my skin soft throughout the day. It's winter now, so it's very windy, but this keeps my face hydrated. Definitely repurchasing!

Possibly the best moisturized for oily skin! I use this thing daily and it is absolutely the best I've ever tried, not too thick so it doesn't soak in like most, just perfect texture, a real joy to apply. I love that it protects too with SPF so I always use it on summer beach trips as sun screen lotion for my oily skin and for ski trips.
Perfect, perfect! I cannot explain how much I love it! Dove definitely makes the best quality and healthiest products for skin :))
